Guscott Heating Services Brand Identity

Brand identity | Marketing materials | Print Design

Guscott Heating Services is a Kent-based gas and heating engineering company with a difference. With a strong environmental ethos — from the products they offer, to the vans they drive, to the energy-saving advice they give — our aim was to help them visualise this eco-friendly approach, with a new brand identity.

The brief

With a core focus on energy-efficient, environmentally-friendly solutions, Guscott Heating Services is a team of gas fitters with a difference. Having grown fast however, their brand identity lacked stand out and did not convey their eco credentials. By branding everything from their vans to their website, we had the opportunity to help set them apart from other firms on the market.

New customers generally came from referrals or internet searches, so the firm asked us to help them develop a distinctive brand that could be recognised at a glance, and that would work well across a variety of formats.

The solution

We took some time to understand what a typical Guscott Heating Services customer looked like, and built up a strong picture of someone who cares deeply about the environment and who is prepared to invest wisely in the future of the planet. Using this insight, we then presented a range of concept designs back to the client for review.

The route chosen combined key elements of the firm’s core activities — the home, gas/heating, water/plumbing and the environment — and now takes pride of place on the company’s website, its vans, uniform and business cards.

It was important for the colour green to feature somewhere in the final brand identity, but we worked hard to introduce it in a way that wouldn’t seem clichéd — by contrasting subtle gradients of green with a solid dark blue we’ve delivered a result that’s both unusual and upmarket.
