Escape Kent Brand Identity

Brand identity | Signage | Marketing materials

Escape Kent are an innovative escape rooms company based in Canterbury. Having expanded their offering and invested heavily in new games and premises, they needed a new brand identity and website to reflect this fast expansion.

The brief

Like other escape room companies, Escape Kent started off fairly small and had a very DIY approach to their brand identity. Their old identity lacked consistency or refinement and didn’t align with the ambitious growth plans that the owners had set.

They knew that to stay ahead of the competition and continue to grow, they would need to develop a professional and consistent brand identity and website. They partnered with Bourne and Bred to design an identity every bit as atmospheric as the experience itself — dark and Dickensian, with industrial, metallic overtones.

We were then tasked with rolling out the identity across marketing materials, uniforms, signage and a fully responsive website.

The solution

Our first step was to carry out a large-scale competitor analysis, to establish how Escape Kent could best differentiate themselves from their competition. Next, we produced three identity concept routes and worked closely with the owners to refine their favourite theme into a powerful, timeless identity that could be easily rolled out across various formats.

The finished design combined gears, cogs, clocks and padlocks to represent both the escape challenges, and the time-limited nature of the experience. We developed marketing materials and signage, and built the website to deliver a fully immersive brand experience at every touchpoint.

See the website here.

“5 Stars. Great to work with from start to finish. Got exactly what we needed from the website.”
